If only the walls could talk. We imagine the conversation would run right around the corner past the famous Apple Market and echo through the iconic Royal Opera House. Sundays
Sundays are special at Blacklock Covent Garden. We cook our meat over the open coals, serving roasts all day long with our last seating at 8pm. Tables get snapped up quickly, so we recommend booking in advance. But if you’re in the neighbourhood and fancy popping in, we’ll do our very best to accommodate walk-ins.
Walk-Ins
Sometimes the urge for great-tasting steak washes over us in ways you can’t foresee. That’s why we reserve plenty of space for walk-ins. Come on in and we’ll do our best to sit you down straight away. If it’s busy, we’ll do our best to make your wait as short as possible.
Accessibility
Situated in a basement we do not have lift access however both Canary Wharf and Shoreditch are ground level and accessible.
When booking, let us know if there is anything we can do to make your time with us more comfortable and we will do our best.
Canary Wharf, Shoreditch and Manchester allow well behaved dogs. Please email us first so we can make sure we have enough space for you and your furry friends.

As a chophouse and steak restaurant in the heart of Covent Garden, our aim has always been to serve the very best meat our fair land has to offer, whilst staying kind to your wallet.
As a London steak restaurant, we aim to bring you the finest cuts of meat in the land. Thanks to our friends and trusted farmers, the Warrens, we’re able to source highest-quality British beef which is dry-aged for a deeper flavour. By using the whole animal to make something of everything, we champion great chops and steak at incredible value.
It’s a humble mission we’re on, to be among those that serve up the best steak and chops in London — in a setting where memories are made over great-tasting food with all the trimmings, and none of the fuss.
Sunday Roast in Covent Garden

Looking for Sunday lunch served all day long? We can do better than that…
We take Sunday roasts seriously here at Blacklock Covent Garden, transforming our entire kitchen for the occasion. Our grills make way for whole joints of meat hung and gently roasted over open coals, just as they once were.
From lunch through to the evening, we serve generous Sunday roasts of perfectly cooked meat, seasonal vegetables, crispy roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, and plenty of gravy that never runs out. A relaxed, all-day affair built around tradition, quality, and a proper get-together.
Vegetarian? No problem. Tuck into a meat-free roast featuring our cauliflower chop, served with all the classic British sides. We also serve a selection of gluten-free dishes (including a delicious gluten-free gravy!), so nobody misses out on a warm, cosy roast. Butcher Price Monday
Why we LOVE Mondays
Don’t like Mondays? Head to Blacklock Covent Garden and buck the trend with our famous Big Chops, served at the same price you’d pay at your local butcher: just £8 per 100g. Enjoy generous, door-stop-thick cuts – like Porterhouse, Prime Rib, Bone-in Sirloin, and Lamb Rump – designed for sharing or indulging solo.
There’s no catch, Butcher Price Monday is simply the best chops and steak at great value. All cuts are cooked to order and written up on the board, then crossed off as they go - and boy do they go!
Available all day for lunch and dinner, this much-loved Monday ritual has become a local favourite at Blacklock Covent Garden. It gets busy, so we advise booking ahead, but feel free to roll in as we always reserve a few tables for walk-ins. Come and try some of the best steak in London at a snip of the price!

We've had a long love affair with Cornwall: Philip Warren looks after the Blacklock herd, and Harbour Brew Co. craft our beers right on the North Cornish coast.
Our wine list gets the same careful attention. Sustainable wine on tap means a fresher, lighter-footprint way to drink brilliantly — sourced from some of our favourite producers across the world. And while a Fine Wine or Reserve List isn't really our style, we do have a handpicked selection of special bottles gathered on various travels and smuggled home especially for you.
