Steak & Chop House in the heart of London's East End
Once an East End furniture factory that during the 1940s and 50s was a hive of British industry and handmade craftsmanship. As the factory fans spun with the original crittal windows just ajar, men and women were toiling over leather recliners and rosewood dining chairs much like those in the restaurant today.
As always, we serve the best quality grass-fed meat from Phillip Warren in Cornwall, cooked simply over our charcoal grill and dished-up for incredible value and always a lot of fun. Feel free to join us at the bar, for pre or post-dinner drinks.

Located on Rivington Street, a five-minute walk from Old Street Station, with Liverpool Street with Shoreditch High Street close by.
Reservations
Walk-Ins
Walk-ins are always warmly welcome. Do pop in and we’ll get you your table as soon as we can. If there is a wait for a table, we’ll do our very best to make it as short as possible and you can grab a sharpener at our bar while we get to work on it for you.
Sundays
With roasts served all day Sunday, popular times tend to get booked up quite far in advance. So if you’re in the neighbourhood and fancy popping in, we’ll do our very best to accommodate walk-ins where we can but booking is recommended.
Reservations
We know that reservations are important for certain occasions, please email the restaurant if you’re looking to book a table for between 6-10 guests.
Accessibility
Both Shoreditch and Canary Wharf are ground level and accessible. When booking, let us know if there is anything we can do to make your time with us more comfortable and we will do our best to accommodate.
Please email us directly if you would like to bring your furry friends before booking so we can confirm we have space for pooches. Well behaved dogs are welcome here as well as Manchester and Canary Wharf too.

Blacklock is all about doing the simple things well. Generous chops and steaks (and plenty more in between) served with sides made for sharing. As a chophouse and steak restaurant in the historic heart of Shoreditch, our aim has always been to serve the very best meat our fair land has to offer, whilst staying kind to your wallet.
We work closely with our friends and trusted farmers, the Warrens, to source the very best of British beef, which is carefully dry-aged to deepen flavour. By using the whole animal to make something of everything, we champion great chops and steak at incredible value.

Sundays at Blacklock Shoreditch are treated a little differently. The kitchen switches gears for the day, with meat cooked slowly over open coals and the focus firmly on proper roasts served from lunch through to the evening. It’s a relaxed, all-day affair built around generous plates, seasonal vegetables, and plenty of (unlimited) gravy - a familiar setup for those seeking the best Sunday roast Shoreditch has to offer.

Blacklock Shoreditch is a great spot for group dining, whether you’re getting friends together for a birthday, a celebration, or simply a long, relaxed meal. Tables can be booked in advance, with space always kept back for walk-ins if you’re feeling spontaneous.
For groups of 6–8 guests, the team is happy to help arrange your booking by email, making sure everything’s set up smoothly. Menus are designed for sharing, the atmosphere stays relaxed, and the focus is firmly on good food and good company.

We always try to keep a few tables free for walk-ins but it does get busy, so book ahead to avoid disappointment. And while we’re not ones for a Fine Wine or Reserve List we have a carefully curated list of special bottles picked up from many travels abroad and smuggled home for you to enjoy.
