Whilst we’ve long loved Canary Wharf and its rich history of the nearby Docklands and Billingsgate Market, Blacklock in a glass tower never felt right. But nestled in a cosy corner of the North Dock, we took one look at an old disused warehouse underneath the tracks and knew we had found home. The comforting rumble of trains passing overhead conjures memories of some of our favourite haunts underneath the bridges in NYC – places where you can leave the hustle and bustle outside and enjoy decadent dining away from prying eyes. Be it for a bold business lunch or indulgent evening dinner, feel that very atmosphere at Blacklock Canary Wharf.

Reserve your spot beneath the hustle and bustle of Canary Wharf. We take bookings of up to 8 people online. Drop us an email if you’d like to book for a larger group.
Sundays
Sundays are special at Blacklock Canary Wharf. We cook our meat over the open coals, serving roasts all day long with our last seating at 8pm. Tables get snapped up quickly, so we recommend booking in advance. But if you’re in the neighbourhood and fancy popping in, we’ll do our very best to accommodate walk-ins.
Walk-Ins
When the urge for chops and steak takes hold, not much can stand in your way – we get it. That’s why we reserve plenty of space for walk-ins, so come and join us under the tracks and we’ll do our best to sit you down straight away. If it’s busy, we’ll work hard to make your wait as short as possible.
Accessibility
Both Canary Wharf and Shoreditch are ground level and accessible.
When booking, if there is anything we can do to make your time with us more comfortable and we will do our best to accommodate.
Please email us directly if you would like to bring your furry friends before booking so we can confirm we have space for pooches. Well behaved dogs are welcome here as well as Manchester and Shoreditch too.

As a chophouse and steak restaurant in the heart of Canary Wharf, our aim has always been to serve the very best meat our fair land has to offer, whilst staying kind to your wallet.
That journey begins with our friends and trusted farmers, the Warrens, who we work closely with to source the highest-quality British beef, dry-aged for a deeper flavour. Having worked together since Blacklock opened eleven years ago, the Warrens help us to use the whole animal, making something of everything, which allows us to champion great chops and steak at incredible value..

Sunday Roast in Canary Wharf
Almost as Good as Moms (and only available on Sundays!)
A Sunday lunch at Blacklock Canary Wharf isn’t one you’ll forget any time soon…
On the last day of the week, every week, we pack our grills away and transform our kitchen for traditional live-fire cooking, and the best Sunday roast in London. Whole joints of meat are hung and gently roasted over open coals, perfectly cooked and served with seasonal vegetables, crispy roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, and unlimited gravy. And we serve it all day long.
It’s Sunday roast how it should be done, with an excellent vegetarian option too. Tuck into a meat-free roast featuring our barbecued cauliflower chop, served with all the classic British sides. We also serve a selection of gluten-free dishes (including a delicious gluten-free gravy!), so nobody misses out on a warm, cosy roast. Why we LOVE Mondays
Reclaim your Monday at Blacklock Canary Wharf with our famous Big Chops, served at the same price you’d pay at your local butcher: just £8 per 100g. Enjoy generous, door-stop-thick cuts – like Porterhouse, Prime Rib, Bone-in Sirloin, and Lamb Rump – designed for sharing or indulging solo.
Butcher Price Monday runs from open until close, but all cuts are cooked to order and crossed off the board as they go - so keep your eyes on the prize! To secure your spot for chops and steak at great value, we advise booking ahead, but feel free to walk in as we always keep a few tables free. Our bar team lives by a "pip to peel" philosophy — using every last bit of fruit to cut waste and pack in flavour, just as our chefs and butchers champion a whole-animal approach in the kitchen. Whatever you're in the mood for, expertly made cocktails, locally brewed beers or alcohol-free options that deliver on taste, our Bar Keeps have got you covered. We've had a long love affair with Cornwall: Philip Warren looks after the Blacklock herd, and Harbour Brew Co. craft our beers right on the North Cornish coast.
Our wine list gets the same careful attention. Sustainable wine on tap means a fresher, lighter-footprint way to drink brilliantly — sourced from some of our favourite producers across the world. And while a Fine Wine or Reserve List isn't really our style, we do have a handpicked selection of special bottles gathered on various travels and smuggled home especially for you.
