Over the weekend we took our Roast on tour, to prep a feast fit for the lake-side-loungers and late night disco-dancers of Lost Village Festival.
From the get go, we knew we had an inspiring weekend ahead of us. Sharing it with an incredible group of chefs from Fallow, AngloThai, Kricket as well as some other friends – each bringing their own creativity and flavour to the forest. The whole festival was a proper celebration of food, people, and music.
Opening the Village Feast, our Beefy Mary warmed up the crowd (if you love our gravy, this one’s for you) – the perfect curtain-raiser to any Sunday.
Soon, plates of crayfish cocktail swept through the tent, before the star of the show made its entrance: our All In Sunday Roast. Think towering Yorkshire puddings, duck-fat roasties, seasonal vegetables, cauliflower-four-cheese and boat-loads of gravy. All paired with a trio of Cornish meats: lamb, pork, and beef, each aged to perfection.
And because there’s always room for pudding, we brought the weekend to a close with a whole lot of white chocolate cheesecake, served table side by the whole team and topped with summer berries.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who shared the weekend with us and made it so memorable and to the team at Sprout for being at the heart and soul of the feast. Lost Village, you were a dream – and we can’t wait for the next adventure.
