Sometimes looking after people means doing what we do best – gathering around a table, sharing good food and making people feel at home. Sometimes it means swapping aprons for trainers and putting a few miles in for a good cause.
This September, the Blacklock Canary Wharf team will be taking on the Run the Wharf 5K – but with a little twist. Half the team will be running to support Crisis, and the other half will be raising money for CAMFED.
Two charities, one team, and a whole lot of sore legs.
As a B Corp, we believe looking after people goes beyond our restaurants. It means supporting the communities we’re part of and standing behind causes that help people build brighter futures.
Running for Crisis
One half of our Canary Wharf team will be raising money for Crisis, a charity working to support people experiencing homelessness across the UK.
From providing practical support to helping people find secure housing and campaigning for long-term change, Crisis works around the close to help people move out of homelessness for good.
Our team will be putting their best feet forward to support this important work.

Running for CAMFED
The other half of our team will be raising money for CAMFED, an organisation supporting girls and young women in rural communities across Ghana, Malawi, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe to access education.
For an individual girl, education can change everything. With the right support, girls can go on to become leaders in their communities – from running climate-smart businesses to becoming healthcare workers, teachers and lawyers, creating opportunities for future generations.
Our team will be running to help more girls access education and the chance to shape their own futures.

Every step counts
Whether it’s running 5K, cheering from the sidelines, sharing our fundraiser or making a donation, every bit of support helps.
We might not all be natural runners (there may be some questionable pacing), but we’re proud to come together as a team to support two incredible causes.
Wish us luck on 3rd September – we’ll see you at the finish line.
