Our cheesecake certainly gets around. If you’ll indulge us, we’d like to take a moment to celebrate ours.
It’s been there for birthdays, anniversaries, proposals and countless reasons to gather round the table.
Over the past year, it’s muscled its way backstage at the BRITs, rescued weary festival-goers and fuelled marathon runners up and down the country. But wherever it goes, its favourite place has always been the middle of the table.
We bring over the bowl and keep spooning. All you have to do is say when.
Very few people do.
Somewhere along the way, it became so much more than a dessert. It’s the reason people stay for one more. The reason so many evenings stretch a little longer than planned and end up becoming the ones you remember most.
So, this National Cheesecake Day, we’d simply like to say thank you.
To everyone who’s made it, served it, and cleared the empty tray afterwards. To all of you who have made this little bowl of cheesecake such a big part of Blacklock. And, of course, to Granny, whose recipe started it all.
