We might be a little early in nudging you, but Father’s Day is already on the horizon — and honestly, we can’t help ourselves.

It’s one of our favourite days of the year, and we’re already looking forward to celebrating it with you.

There’s something special about getting everyone around the table for a proper feast. No fuss, no frills – just great food, good company, and the kind of atmosphere where you can settle in, relax, and make a real occasion of it. Whether it’s a long-overdue family get-together or a simple way to say thank you, Father’s Day always feels like the perfect excuse.

And if celebrating on the official day doesn’t quite work, don’t worry. Who says it has to be just one day? We’re big believers in stretching things out a little. There’s something rather nice about gathering the family across the week of Father’s Day instead – a slightly slower, more relaxed way to mark the occasion (and a good excuse for a second helping, if you ask us).

A Sunday Makeover

If you are planning to join us, Sundays at ours are a little different.

Come the end of the week, our fire pits take on a new rhythm. The grills are packed away, and in their place, whole joints of meat are hung and gently roasted over open coals, just as they once were.

It’s a way of cooking that needs time, space and careful attention. So each Sunday, we pause our usual menu to focus solely on delivering the very best roast we can, crisp-yet-fluffy potatoes, rich gravy, and proper meat cooked the old-fashioned way.

It’s become something of a labour of love. One we’re very fond of, and one we’re grateful people seem to love too.

We’d gently recommend getting ahead of the curve and booking in early. Whether it’s for the day itself or sometime across the week, tables do tend to fill up quicker than you might expect. A little bit of forward planning means you can focus on what really matters – enjoying yourselves.

Here’s to celebrating the dads, grandads, stepdads, and all the father figures who deserve a proper treat.
