All this good weather has hurried the summer crops along, and we’ve been making the most of it. With longer days, lunches that linger and evenings that gently run away with themselves, we’ve been busy getting ready for the joy of summer, too.
Lets talk lettuce
Our good friend and lettuce farmer, Roy Halman, has once again delivered the goods from Woodlands Farm up in beautiful Cheshire.
Alongside Roy’s Summer Salad, we’re bringing back an old friend from the Blacklock at Home days, The Caesar. Crisp, salty, crunchy and gloriously generous. Have it as it comes, top it with a steak, or our favourite, pop it in the middle of the table and let everyone tuck in.
Made for the Season
Behind the bar, George and the team have been getting into the spirit of things with a few new summer drinks, too. Think fresh watermelon Margaritas, Summer Negronis, Raspberry & Rose Sours and a couple of lovely booze-free options for when you want all the clink… without the clunk.
And if that is not enough
In a Blacklock London first – fish now adorns the menu in Canary Wharf after being ever-so-popular in Birmingham. Cornish dayboat monkfish chops, cooked on the bone for incredible depth of flavour, served with a cream and mustard sauce, and finished with a garlic-herb crumb, we think it’s quite the summer addition.
So whether you’re popping in for lunch, settling in for dinner, or making a proper evening of it, bring good company, and we’ll take care of the rest.
Summer at Blacklock. Dreamy.
The Blacklock Team x
